Whether you’re looking for an outdoor adventure or a relaxing hangout, there are plenty of Florida attractions that are perfect for couples looking to have fun and make memories. Here are seven of our favorite things to do in Orlando, Florida for date night.

Catch an outdoor movie — Put a spin on the usual dinner-and-a-movie with one of Central Florida’s outdoor film events. Two favorites of ours: The Enzian Theater and Winter Park’s monthly Popcorn Flicks and Movie Night at Leu Gardens.

Swim (or sun) by the springs — Florida’s abundance of gorgeous natural waterways and freshwater springs are some of its oldest tourist attractions, and for good reason! Many of our state parks, including nearby Wekiwa Springs, are open for swimming, paddle boarding and canoeing, making them the perfect hangout for active couples and sunbathers alike.

Picnic in the park — Show your partner how well you know them by planning a picnic with all their favorites. Grab a blanket, set up at a scenic spot like Lake Eola, Katie’s Landing or Big Tree Park and take in the relaxing sights and sounds of nature while sharing a home-cooked meal or your favorite local takeout.

Stroll through the Zoo — If you’re looking for something a little more exotic, check out our Central Florida Zoo! From hands-on animal encounters like Giraffe Feeding to events like Sunset at the Zoo, which features food trucks and live entertainment, the Orlando zoo is a can’t-miss destination for visitors and locals alike. Not only can you make fun memories together for date night, but you can also soak in some childhood nostalgia and explore some new things to do in Orlando.

Reach new heights — If you’re looking for an activity that takes you and your date above and beyond your comfort zone, visit a ropes course like Seminole Aerial Adventures. Conquer your fears together at this fun and challenging Orlando attraction for a date that’s sure to make an impression and get your heart racing.

Take a hike — If you’re a nature-loving couple, try taking a spin down one of the beautiful trails surrounding the Orlando area. Exploring a natural preserve like Black Bear Wilderness Area Trail or Spring Hammock Preserve is a perfect way to spend some quality time together. If you’re interested in a more guided experience, check out the Zoo’s Night Hike, a fascinating flashlight-led tour that frequently sells out.

Shop local farmers' markets — These community events are a great way to explore all that Central Florida’s local businesses have to offer, including hand-crafted goods, live music, and fresh produce. If you’re looking for more things to do in Sanford, the Marketplace at Magnolia takes place every Saturday.

No matter your budget or interests, there are plenty of Orlando activities to choose from when planning your next date. Make the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens one of them! Plan your visit here, and have a WILD time!
